Charles Battle

President

Charles Battle was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from Roxborough High School.  Shortly after being married, Charlie applied multiple times until he was accepted into IBEW Local 98’s Apprenticeship. 

From day one, he worked hard graduating near the top of his apprenticeship class. During his 32-years with the union, like many he has served in numerous positions including being a job steward, sub-foreman and foreman. Charlie has seen his share of unemployment and was forced to travel to other jurisdictions for work to be certain his family had food on the table.   He also Managed a project in Poland on a Naval Base in 2017 and learned what the term meant “Living out of a Suitcase”.  Charlie is married for close to 35 years and has two children.
